How I, and you, make your rings

  1. A discovery call to talk through your ideas, your story, and budget.

  2. A design proposal — with sketches and stone options, no obligation.

  3. Handcrafting in your chosen metal, with progress updates at each stage.

  4. Hallmarking, and UK delivery — fully insured.

Ceremonial Rings Built to Age Gracefully

A wedding band is the most-worn piece of fine jewellery you will ever own. High-street bands tend to be thin and lightweight. My bench practice works the opposite way — heavy-gauge metal, an ergonomic interior, and a surface designed to take decades of daily life without losing its character.

  • Single Mine Origin Yellow & Rose Gold: Fully traceable, gold mined to strict environmental standards with complete community provenance.

  • High-Palladium 18ct White SMO Gold: Commercial white gold is rhodium-plated, and that plating wears off to reveal a yellowish tint underneath. My white gold is alloyed with high palladium content instead, which gives it a natural creamy, gunmetal hue that never needs plating or ongoing upkeep.

  • Tactile Surface Finishes: Every ring leaves the casting with its own grain. I then work that surface by hand — retaining some sandcast texture and adding a high polish or carved facets, or a satin brush — so it resists surface scuffs and picks up a personal patina over time.

Engineered to Sit Flush Against Your Engagement Ring

f you wear an unusual engagement ring geometry, a vintage heirloom, or an architectural solitaire, an off-the-shelf band will rarely sit flush. It's on of the most common frustrations I hear.

I carve precise shadow bands and fitted contours directly against your own engagement ring setting. Using a physical silver test prototype, you can wear a 3D preview of the band at home — checking scale, stack height, and comfort — before I cast the final piece in gold.

Genuine 1-on-1 Craftsman Collaboration

  • Consultation & Metal Selection: We choose your metal, width profile, depth gauge, and surface texture in a studio visit or by video call.

  • Silver Fit Prototype: For contoured or flush-stacking designs, I send a custom silver prototype to your door so you can verify the exact fit and how it feels to wear daily.

  • Sandcasting & Finishing: Your ring is cast, hand-finished, and independently hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office.

Bespoke wedding bands generally range from £1000 to £3,500+, depending on the metal, the gauge of the band, and any stone work.
