One of a kind lariat gold and silver necklace, set with a teal moissanite.
A necklace which is of long linear style with a decorative drop element.
A handmade pendant completes it, combining forged 9ct gold elements and sandcast sterling silver details, embellished with a teal moissanite set in a 9ct gold tube.
The sandcast circle, cast in my workshop, the sand for the casting was collected from Kennack Sands in Cornwall, one of the most southern beaches in the UK, and home to the only serpentine rich beach, this gives it a deep, heavy texture.
Within this circle there is a 4mm teal moissanite set in a 9ct gold tube. This circle is attached to the Sterling Silver chain by a silver bail, at the other end of the chain is a teardrop runner. This runner is held in place by a 9ct granule. This allows the loop of the necklace to be worn at any point on the chain.
the cast elements are cast using the Delft Clay technique meaning every element is different as the mould can only be used once
after piece has been completed I clean it up by hand and finish it with a satin or polished surface, depending on the texture
