One of a kind large statement gold and silver pendant set with a London Blue topaz

£1,000.00

A handmade pendant combining forged 9ct gold elements and sandcast sterling silver details.

tIn the centre of the pendant there is a sandcast square within a square which is surrounded by a wall of 9ct gold, which in turn is surrounded by four circles within a circle, which has fine silver filigree infill to emphasise the negative space.

At the centre of the squares is a claw set 0.6ct London Blue topaz held in place by 9ct gold bars. the bail is an oversized teardrop made from 9ct gol. A substantial silver belcher chain completes the piece.

The sand for the casting was collected from Kennack Sands in Cornwall, one of the most southern beaches in the UK, and home to the only serpentine rich beach, this gives it a deep, heavy texture.

The cast elements are cast using the Delft Clay technique meaning every element is different as the mould can only be used once.

After piece has been completed I clean it up by hand and finish it with a satin or polished surface, depending on the texture.
