A simple yet beautiful walnut bentwood and solid padauk ring
A lightweight and modern wooden alternative ring, perfect for a 5th wedding anniversary or as a keepsake.
The core is made from solid padauk (vermillion), which is wrapped with a walnut bentwood exterior - this is an unique type of ring.
To make a ring like this the central core is turned on a lathe and then steam treated veneer is wrapped around it and stabilised with isocyanoacrylate. The ring is size O, please contact me on enquires@iainsainsbury.com if you are interested in other sizes.
The ring is finished with a protective coat of Renaissance Wax.

as this is a wooden ring, some care must be taken to retain it’s integrity
occasional immersion in water should be fine, however it is recommended to remove it for prolonged water contact
the renaissance wax finish is robust and should protect the ring for daily use, however it is recommended that the ring is removed if you are handling any abrasive materials as this may scuff/damage the finish and cause discolouration
the ring will be dispatched with several finishing coats of Renaissance Wax to protect it, if worn daily it should remain well polished from wear.
