BOMBÉ EARRINGS 1 - Unique, sterling silver bombé inspired earrings, sandcast with KeumBoo highlight
Part of the Bombé collection.
A pair of sterling silver sandcast earrings with contrasting rough sand textures juxtaposed with a polished surface. The lower portions of the earrings are coated in 23.5ct gold using the KeumBoo technique (when hallmarked due to the amount of gold present it is hallmarked as 9ct)
Completed with elegant 9ct gold ear wires, they move beautifully.
They are cast using sand from Kennack Sands on the southern tip of Cornwall, this gives it a fine texture. Cast using the Delft Clay technique (every cast is different as the mould can only be used once), cleaned by hand, polished and the KeumBoo gold foil applied using the torch technique.
