ATOMIUM RING 6 - One of a kind, 9ct gold, with a sandcast shank and tube set sapphires and spinels

£1,600.00

Part of the ATOMIUM collection.

A beautiful ring, individual and unique.

This ring features a shank sandcast in sandcast in 9ct SMO gold, using sand from Kennack Sands in Cornwall. The contrasting fine tube settings and the support structure reflect the ATOMIUM in Belgium. Each tube is set with a different stone, there are two blue spinels and three Australian parti sapphires.

The ring is size N1/2 but can be made slightly bigger if needed, a true one of a kind.

The sand used to cast this ring comes from Kennack Sands, on the very tip of the Lizard in Cornwall. The sand is relatively unique as it is full of serpentine, an uncommon metamorphic rock. Every ring sandcast is different as the mould can only be used once, after casting then it was cleaned by hand, polished and set.

If you like this style of ring, but would prefer a different stones - please email me (enquires@iainsainsbury.com) and we can discuss further.
